Great Men Are Born
Swami Vivekananda Blesses Bub Gopinath Ji
Great men are born time and again. Vedic period is known as the age of Rishis, who were intuitive in their approach to understand the self, the world around them, and the creator of this Universe. It was the age of understanding the Divine through sound vibrations, known as the Mantras, with arranged meters, learnt through the descend of the Maheshwara Sutra.
We have the glaxy of the Rishis, in the personalities of Mahirshi Vishwamitra, Maharshi Gritasmad, Mahirshi Vamadeva,Mahirshi Bhrighu,Mahirshi Kanva,Mahirshi Yaajnyavalkya, Mahirshi Agastya, Mahirshi Vasishttha, Mahirshi Angiraa, Mahirshi Shaunak. They are revered as the Mantra Drishtaa--the seers of the different Mantra, in relation to the Divine, Dharma, ethics, and Yoga. The Shastras say:-- Rishayo Manmtra Drshtaa, Rishis is he, who sees the Mantra through his intuitive eye. He then tells the same Mantra to the humanity, thus developing the institutions for imparting the knowledge of wisdom-both spiritual and mundane to the masses. There are various Rishis as well, but they are interconnected with the Gotra system, hence come under the category of the clan of the Sapta Rishis.
Later the , great men of learning took their birth on the soil of Bharata, and they were called the seers of the Upanishads. The main sutra of the Upanishad is the Prajnyanam Brahma--the higher wisdom is the Eternity, Sarvam Khalu Idam Brahma--All this is Eternity, Ayam Atma Brahmas--This self is Eternity.
Adi Shankara emphasised neti neti--not this material world, never can be this material world be real. This is all illusory. Bhaktas were born from time to time, to reveal in truth in the form of narrations like the Ramayana of Goswami Tulasidas, Gyaneshwari of Jnanadeva, Tukaram's Abhangas, Kabir's Dohe, Mira's Bhajans, and mystic poetry but intelligible to the masses.
Some saints in the tradition of Mastaanas and Farzaanas were also born. Their main mission was to uphold the Dharma. Lalleshwari came with her Vaakhs, and Alakh Sahiba with her Shlokas. All these saints and sages helped humanity either directly through miracles, or through Shakti paat, or through their prayers and Sadhana, for the welfare of the suffering masses.
"In the early 20th century Bab Bhagavaan was born with extra-ordinary talent of a saint hood. He was born on the 3rd July1898, when Swami Vivekananda was on his spiritual retreat to Kashmir and happened to bless the Baby Gopinath ji, on this auspicious day. It is said that Swami ji stepped into the house of Bhagavaan Gopinath ji, when he was waiting for some time in the tailors shop near the house of Bab Ji, for tailoring the American flag, which was to be unfurled on the American Independence day--the 4th July, by one of his American devotees.". This has been revealed by Sh P N Koul ji on the telephone, to me, on the 17th August, 2010.
What does this incident mean. Swami Vivekanand , who is revered as the wandering monk of India, the direct disciple of Parma Hamsa Shri Ramakrishna blessed this child to be the torch bearer of suffering humanity giving the only Sutra of Sezar--Pazar --Shvazar. This could be one of the reasons that Bab Ji would keep hanging the pictures of Shri Ramkrishna Parma Hansa, Holy Mother Sharada and Swami Vivekananda at Breyi-Kujan residence.
